The Palmetto Mustangs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Greer Middle College Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Palmetto humbled Crescent with a 76-48 victory. The victory was just what Palmetto needed coming off of a 83-53 loss in their prior contest.
Palmetto's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maj Mccoy led the charge by scoring 16 points. Mccoy set a new season high mark in steals with two. Christian Beitel was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Greer Middle College waltzed into their game Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They managed a 59-54 victory over Fountain Inn.
Palmetto's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Greer Middle College, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Palmetto came up short against Greer Middle College in their previous meeting last Tuesday, falling 64-56. Can Palmetto avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
