Community Baptist Christian's loss came about despite a quality game from Kade Hunt, who scored 15 points. Hunt continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kendall Williams, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Juniata Christian had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Bridgeport Baptist Academy 44-27 on Tuesday. Juniata Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Juniata Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Wright, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Smith, who scored 12 points.
Community Baptist Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-1. As for Juniata Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.
Community Baptist Christian beat Juniata Christian 39-27 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Community Baptist Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
