It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Carver Challengers can now relate to. They fell to the Tigers 45-41. Carver's loss signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.
Several Challengers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JaNiyah Statham, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Statham has scored all season. Astarte Washington was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Carver's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-1. As for Austin College and Career Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
Carver does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Austin College and Career Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
