Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Trinity Hall

Trinity Hall took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Red Bank Regional, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Trinity Hall narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Red Bank Regional 12-11. Winning may never get old, but Trinity Hall sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Emma Mullins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and ten unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Emily Dragotti was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Neve McMenamy, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and three runs.

Trinity Hall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Trinity Hall's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Red Bank Regional, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Hall will head out to challenge Neptune at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Red Bank Regional, they will venture away from home to square off against Liberty at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
