The Romulus Eagles came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Port Huron Northern as Romulus made off with a 56-33 victory. Considering Romulus has won four games by more than 22 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Karma Jones-Johnson, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samaira Searcy, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Romulus' win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Port Huron Northern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Romulus and Cass Tech will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Cass Tech is ranked 95th, while Romulus is ranked 116th). As for Port Huron Northern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Romeo at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
