The Arkport Central Bluejays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Dansville on Wednesday as Arkport Central made off with a 74-54 win. Winning may never get old, but Arkport Central sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Dansville's loss came despite strong showings from Reese Dixon and Reid Martin. Dixon scored 14 points along with three steals, while Martin scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. The match was Dixon's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Gardner, who scored nine points.
Arkport Central's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Dansville, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arkport Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Alfred-Almond at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Alfred-Almond is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Dansville, they will head out on the road to face off against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 755th, while Dansville is ranked 351st).
