After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Grove, The Warrensburg Tigers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-28 victory over Osage.
Leading Warrensburg to victory were Aj Smith and Kobe Westphal. Smith rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, while Westphal rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Smith was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.
Warrensburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Osage, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Warrensburg will face off against Pleasant Hill at TBD on Friday. Pleasant Hill is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Osage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
