Loudon is 8-2 against Lenoir City since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Redskins will challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Loudon sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Sequoyah.

Logan Moore made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Loudon is 3-1 when Moore allows three or fewer hits, but 9-15 otherwise. Moore was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bryer Oody, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lenoir City). They blew past Sequoyah 15-3 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the game before.
Like Loudon, Lenoir City also got a great game from a two-way player: Hunter Click. On the mound, Click tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, James Abercrombie tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Click has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Click got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs, while Abercrombie got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ryne Myers was incredible, going 4-for-5 with eight RBI, one run, and one double. Branson Dean was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Lenoir City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Loudon's record is now 12-16. As for Lenoir City, their record now sits at 9-20.
Loudon came out on top in a nail-biter against Lenoir City when the teams last played on April 2nd, sneaking past 6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
