Bonita let Skyy Hicks and Koa Puppe run wild. Hicks went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Puppe went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Hicks has posted since back in February of 2024. Leah Reynolds was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Walnut can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Rowland a 10-0 shutout. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Cynthia P was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. P was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Paloma P was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Teri W, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Walnut always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bonita is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-9.
Everything went Bonita's way against Walnut when the teams last played last Monday, as Bonita made off with a 12-0 victory. Does Bonita have another victory up their sleeve, or will Walnut turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
