The Washington Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lincoln, falling 46-13. Washington lost against Lincoln in their previous head to head last Saturday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 50-6 score last time.
Jamelle Newman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 339 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. Newman really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Washington now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Lincoln, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lincoln also has no future games currently scheduled.
