The Calvary Christian Cougar pushed their score all the way to 74 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to New Life Christian Academy 78-74. Calvary Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
New Life Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Ty'lik Taylor, who scored 32 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. Cameron Parker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Calvary Christian and nudges their season record down to 20-10. As for New Life Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Calvary Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Conquerors at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for New Life Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Raleigh Christian Academy is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
