Kokomo has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Tipton Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kokomo is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tipton in Indiana (Kokomo is ranked 165th, while Tipton is ranked 404th).
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kokomo beat Triton Central 47-43.
Ma'Kaela Drake was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 16 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Aijia Elliott, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Tipton, who are still winless after their 19th game. They were beaten by Hamilton Heights 103-6 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Tipton has suffered yet this season.
Kokomo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Tipton, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-19.
Kokomo came up short against Tipton in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 41-35. Thankfully for Kokomo, Ashlee Schram (who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
