Everything went their way against the Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks on Friday as Wake County HomeSchool made off with a 15-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Will Richardson was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, Gabriel Ferrell was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Seth Pennica was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double.
Wake County HomeSchool kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairfax HomeSchool only managed five hits.
