Alcorn Central saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 53-41 victory over the Hernando Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Alcorn Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Hernando, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Alcorn Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-57 loss against Pontotoc on the 28th. Hernando has also already played their next game, a 54-44 defeat against New Albany on the 28th.
