Even though the Falcon Falcons scored an imposing 74 points on Saturday, the Harrison Panthers still came out on top. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Harrison made off with a 75-74 win over Falcon. The win made it back-to-back wins for Harrison.
Harrison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenneth Jones jr, who scored 32 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jones jr has scored at least a third of Harrison's points. Another player making a difference was Tayten Franko, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eric Graham, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Christian Bertholf was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Harrison has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Falcon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison will take on Widefield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Widefield is coming into the game with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Harrison will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Falcon, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Elizabeth at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Elizabeth focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Thursday.
