While losing is never fun, Ben Lomond can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while South Summit is ranked 21st).
Despite the loss, Ben Lomond saw an underclassman step up: Jordan Harrison scored 24 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harrison has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jake East, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Ben Lomond has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for South Summit, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ben Lomond will take on Union at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Summit, they will head out on the road to challenge Ogden at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ogden is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
