The Lowell Red Devils will take on the Hanover Central Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hanover Central took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lowell, who comes in off a win.
Lowell lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Andrean, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Fighting 59ers with a sharp 9-3 victory on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Red Devils as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Olivia Fuentes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Isobella Vaught was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Lilly Salazar was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Lowell lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Hanover Central faced Munster in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Wildcats fell 14-9 to the Mustangs. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Jillian Deyoung was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Deyoung was even better at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Oostman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Hanover Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Lowell, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Lowell hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Hanover Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Lowell skirted past Hanover Central 5-4 in their previous matchup on Thursday. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
