AAA District 14 recap Oct. 16, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Cordova, who took down 243rd ranked Bartlett, 28-19.
The Wolves moved up to 242 from 276 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAA District 14. Cordova climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Panthers 28-19.
Arlington's Drew Reed and Justin Boring have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Reed has thrown for 1470 yards this season, while Boring has 50 catches for 850 yards. Bolton's Brandon Henderson leads the league in rushing yards with 811.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Tigers take on the Wildcats. Arlington is currently in first, while Bolton is in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when Chris Wiley's team and Tommy Miller's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Tigers comes in having scored 267 this season, while the Wildcats have scored 135.
Craigmont and Millington Central played the most hotly contested game in AAA District 14 this week, with Craigmont eventually emerging with a 18-13 victory.
