The Logan County Cougars fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Todd County Central Rebels on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jamison Glass was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds for Todd County Central. Keshawn Moore was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Logan County has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Todd County Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
Logan County will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Allen County-Scottsville and three for the Cougars. As for Todd County Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Mustangs at 1:30 p.m. on February 3rd. McCracken County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Rebels in Kentucky (the Mustangs are ranked 36th, while the Rebels are ranked 199th).
