The Sublette Larks will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Syracuse Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 27 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Sublette and three for Syracuse.
Sublette suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They were outmatched by Wichita County on the road and fell 83-12. While losing is never fun, Sublette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Wichita County is ranked 12th).
Aneya Puentes was Sublette's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Lilli Moke held things down on the boards with six rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Meanwhile, Syracuse came up short against Southwestern Heights on Monday and fell 58-45.
Sublette bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Syracuse, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
