Ross has gone a perfect 5-0 against Monroe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. Ross will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Friday, Ross got the win against Bellbrook by a conclusive 12-1.
Paige Baker made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, Mady Koeninger was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Josi Alvis was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Ross kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Monroe's offense. They fell just short of Edgewood by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.
Aubri Vandeventer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits.
Monroe has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Ross, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Monroe's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ross has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Monroe, though, as they've been averaging 10.2 hits. Given Ross' sizable advantage in that area, the Hornets will need to find a way to close that gap.
Ross got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Monroe by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
