The Laurel Locomotives entered their tilt with the Dawson County Red Devils with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Laurel blew past Dawson County, posting a 35-7 victory at home. Considering Laurel has won four games by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Laurel's victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Sidney and 2-8 Hardin (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.8% over those games). As for Dawson County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Laurel will square off against Corvallis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dawson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
