The Le Grand Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Waterford Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Le Grand put the hurt on Waterford with a sharp 62-36 victory on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-14.
Leading Le Grand to victory were Diego Martinez and Alexis Granados. Martinez threw for 222 yards and six touchdowns on only 18 passes, while Granados rushed for 208 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per carry. Granados was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards. Grant Richardson was another key contributor, picking up 54 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Waterford's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Christian Gayle, who picked up 190 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. Gayle hasn't dropped below two receiving touchdowns for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Martinez, who threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns.
Le Grand is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Waterford, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Le Grand will face off against Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Orestimba has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 299 points over their last six matchups. Waterford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
