The Natchez Bulldogs stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 61-40 margin over Provine. Given Natchez's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Provine is ranked 239th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Natchez was led to victory by CALEAH KENNEDY and RONIYA ELLIS. KENNEDY scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while ELLIS scored 17 points along with seven assists and three steals. ELLIS is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of MIKIAH PROBY, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Natchez is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Provine, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.
Natchez won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Brookhaven at 4:00 p.m. on February 6th. Natchez is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. Provine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
