The Lake View Wild Gators had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 41-36 victory over Hannah-Pamplico on Tuesday. For Lake View, this counts as revenge for the 57-39 loss the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Jayden Ford was the offensive standout of the matchup as he dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. He also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Ray, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks.
Hannah-Pamplico lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tylin Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mason Hanna, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Lake View's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake View will take on the Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Latta is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Hannah-Pamplico, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Silver Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
