In what's become a running theme this season, the Meade Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 67-45 margin over North County. The victory was familiar territory for Meade who now have three in a row.
Meade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashton Turman led the charge by scoring 15 points along with two steals. Turman hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucaya Baldridge, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five blocks.
Meade has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for North County, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meade will challenge Northeast at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Meade knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully Northeast likes a good challenge. As for North County, they will head out on the road to challenge Chesapeake Science Point at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
