The Richwood Rams posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Sterlington, posting a 80-52 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Richwood has posted against Sterlington since February 7, 2020.
Sterlington's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cooper Nelson, who scored 18 points along with three steals, and Khristian Johnson who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Devin Cooper, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Sterlington struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Richwood has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Sterlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bastrop the next time they take the court. Richwood will host Bastrop at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Sterlington will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
