Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Sara Mansour, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and five steals. Mansour is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Houda Cherkaoui, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Merritt Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Dryden on the road and fell 52-10.
Universal Learning Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Merritt Academy, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-3.
Universal Learning Academy was dealt a bruising 64-23 loss at the hands of Merritt Academy when the teams last played back in January. Can Universal Learning Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
