While Geneva's win against Lakeside wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles skirted past the Dragons 4-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Andrew Oros was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Ryland Besco was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

The victory got Geneva back to even at 1-1. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Geneva will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dragons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
