Baseball Recap: Chaminade-Madonna Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Chaminade-Madonna extended their winning streak to nine on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 21-3 in the process. They put the hurt on the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks with a sharp 8-1 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Chaminade-Madonna got a great performance from Spencer Krasner as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Krasner has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Miguel Roa was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Vargas, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Chaminade-Madonna kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March.

As for Archbishop McCarthy, they moved to 13-10 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since March 13th.

On Archbishop McCarthy's side, Juan Cerra made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Chaminade-Madonna wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Hialeah Educational Academy on the 15th. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 10th.
