The Western Alamance Warriors won the last time they faced the Eastern Guilford Wildcats, and things went their way on Friday too. Western Alamance took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 87-40 victory over Eastern Guilford. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-22.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Western Alamance to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tina Bowers, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals. Another player making a difference was Emma Johnson, who scored 22 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Western Alamance and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Eastern Guilford, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Western Alamance will head out on the road to face off against Northeast Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastern Guilford, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Glenn at 6:30 p.m. Glenn is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
