Football Recap: Stuart Skates Past Hampton with Ease

Stuart won the last time they faced Hampton and things went their way on Friday too. The Broncos blew past the Hawks, posting a 53-20 victory. With the Broncos ahead 38-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Owen Littau continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 85 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, while also catching one score. Another player making a difference was Kayde Ramm, who threw for 123 yards and three TDs.

Stuart didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Hampton to a completion percentage of just 45.5%. The Broncos hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.36 or higher in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Stuart didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Littau and Drew Schmaderer. Littau got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyler Rojewski, who picked up 42 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 47 yards. Mason Wiens was in the mix as well, providing Hampton with two touchdowns.

Stuart pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42 points. As for Hampton, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 5-1.
