The Hicksville Aces suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were beaten by Lincolnview 55-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hicksville has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hicksville struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They are winless (0-3) when they just don't pass the ball.
Emerson Walker was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Keira Breese was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Hicksville's defeat was their 13th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Lincolnview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Hicksville will be playing at home against Montpelier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montpelier presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hicksville in Ohio (Montpelier is ranked 244th, while Hicksville is ranked 689th). As for Lincolnview, they will head out on the road to take on Bluffton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Bluffton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
