Softball Recap: Vicksburg Has No Trouble Against Ridgeland

Vicksburg won the last time they faced Ridgeland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Gators put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 18-2 win. That looming 18-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Gators yet this season.

Zion Harvey was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Madisyn Kimble was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Vicksburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .808. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Vicksburg has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Ridgeland, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-10.
