Nate Hoffman and Tristan Pizana provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Morenci. The connection went for 89 yards, the longest such play in Tri-County this season.
Clinton extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Sand Creek, 48-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Britton-Macon/Deerfield's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Hoffman threw for 132 and one touchdown and Pizana had 101 yards receiving. On the ground Leighton Merritt chipped in 213 yards. Merritt helped Britton-Macon/Deerfield's passing attack out by catching one ball for 11 yards.
Clinton's TJ Baker and Mathew Sexton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Baker has thrown for 1062 yards this season, while Sexton, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 11 catches for 297 yards. The Patriots' Merritt leads the league in rushing yards with 1491.
Madison moved up to 460 from 486 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Tri-County. The Trojans climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Whiteford 20-6.
