Having just played yesterday, the Marion County Red Raiders will jump right back in to play the Loretto Mustangs at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Marion County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 110th in Alabama, while Loretto is ranked seventh in Tennessee).
On Wednesday, Marion County took a serious blow against Lauderdale County, falling 72-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marion County has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Loretto waltzed into their matchup Wednesday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They breezed by Lexington on the road to the tune of 57-23. Loretto might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five games by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Ally Weathers, who scored 25 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Loretto's points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Weathers, who scored eight points.
Marion County's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Loretto, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
