The Carolina M Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Crossroads Christian Colts at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Carolina M focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
Carolina M had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three. They strolled past Bradford Academy with points to spare, taking the game 47-32. That's two games straight that Carolina M has won by exactly 15 points.
Carolina M's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eliana Mah, who scored 14 points along with five steals and two blocks. Mah is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie Mericle, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, after only 21 points in their last match, Crossroads Christian made sure to put some points up on the board against Lee Christian on Friday. Crossroads Christian took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 55-16 victory over Lee Christian. Crossroads Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.
Carolina M's victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Crossroads Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
Everything went Carolina M's way against Crossroads Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2016 as Carolina M made off with a 71-50 victory. Does Carolina M have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crossroads Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
