The biggest upset of the week belonged to Estero, who took down 233rd ranked Estero, 59-21. Winfred Ward threw for 15 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 41 yards in the win.
East Lee County moved up to 192 from 284 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 5A District 11. The Jaguars were able to make the jump by beating the Wildcats 59-21.
East Lee County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Bryant Richardson chipped in 132 yards. Malik Nau helped East Lee County's passing attack out by catching one ball for three yards.
David Campbell was the best wideout in the league this week as Scott Jones's team bested Estero. Campbell tallied one reception for 14 yards.
Estero's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Christian Phillips has thrown for 505 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Rodolfo Sasso has 19 catches for 189 yards. Eric McFadden leads the league in rushing with 530 yards.
Lehigh and Mariner played the most hotly contested game in 5A District 11 this week, with Lehigh eventually emerging with a 28-23 victory.
