The Windermere Prep Lakers will square off against the Legacy Charter Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Windermere Prep's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Legacy Charter has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
On Monday, Windermere Prep got the win against Lyman by a conclusive 11-1. With that victory, the Lakers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Carsha Campbell and Ella Goldberg made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Campbell struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Goldberg tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the most strikeouts Campbell has posted since back in April of 2025. At bat, Campbell went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Goldberg went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Sasha Campbell was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Cierra Walker, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Windermere Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lyman only posted a batting average of .150.
Celebration hit Legacy Charter with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Storm, falling 11-3.
Legacy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Windermere Prep, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Windermere Prep beat Legacy Charter 6-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Do the Lakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
