The King Academy Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Oconee Christian Academy Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. King Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
King Academy suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 57-27 loss at the hands of Cambridge Academy.
Meanwhile, Oconee Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-33 walloping at the hands of Newberry Academy.
Despite their defeat, Oconee Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Derek Pierce, who scored six points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Frick, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
King Academy's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Oconee Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Everything went King Academy's way against Oconee Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as King Academy made off with a 48-26 win. Will King Academy repeat their success, or does Oconee Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
