La Salle's Amir Evans recorded the longest rushing play in Del Rey this season in his game against Bosco Tech last week. Evans' team topped the Tigers as he sprinted for 92 yards on the play and finished with 112 in all.
La Salle extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bosco Tech, 73-3. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Timothy Walsh threw for 309 and four touchdowns and Albert Roman had 171 yards receiving. On the ground Jared Gonzales chipped in 268 yards. Joseph Henriquez helped Cantwell-Sacred Heart's passing attack out by catching three balls for 87 yards.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cardinals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Walsh has thrown for 1705 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Roman has 37 catches for 558 yards. Gonzales leads the league in rushing with 1393 yards.
The Cardinals moved up to 795 from 822 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Del Rey. Cantwell-Sacred Heart climbed the ranks as a result of topping Santa Maria 46-34.
