Hayezon Jackson Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Clayton Valley Charter got the W thanks in part to Hayezon Jackson playing the best football he has all season. Jackson rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110.7) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.
The victory was the third in a row for Clayton Valley Charter, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Jackson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Acalanes on Friday.

Josh Elerts Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Acalanes got the W thanks in part to Josh Elerts playing the best football he has all season. Elerts rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making a tackle.
Acalanes pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Elerts and Acalanes will head out to take on Clayton Valley Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Roman Mercado's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Las Lomas over Clayton Valley Charter
Las Lomas was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Roman Mercado did his best to prevent it. Mercado turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 192 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Mercado is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Campolindo on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mercado saw the Cougars), he picked up 204 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Blair Made His Presence Known in Miramonte's 35-28 Loss
Miramonte had to settle for second on Friday, but Carson Blair sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Blair as he threw for 348 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Miramonte's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. Blair and Miramonte will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Dylan Thomas Makes It Two for Las Lomas
Another Las Lomas player making an appearance on this list is Dylan Thomas. He threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns.
Thomas and Las Lomas will face off against Campolindo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Cougars, probably because Thomas had a solid game then too: he threw for 347 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
