Cimarron is 1-9 against Logan since April of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rams will challenge the Longhorns at 2:00 p.m. Cimarron has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Cimarron took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Magdalena, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams skirted past the Steers 15-14. Cimarron's victory was all the more impressive since the Steers were averaging only 3.31 runs allowed on the season.
Orion Ledoux was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Trapper Whitten also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Cimarron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Grady hit Logan with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Longhorns fell just short of the Bronchos by a score of 7-6. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 21, 2025, but that streak is no more.
Mitchell Wall was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aydin Kotara, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Cimarron's record is now 9-3. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cimarron hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .392. However, it's not like Logan struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
