On Monday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Wasatch had to settle for an 8-7 defeat against Orem.
Ryker Evans put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Evans has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Evans was also big at the plate, going 3-for-7 with a double and an RBI.

Dart wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nixon Warren, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Wasatch's record is now 3-12. As for Spanish Fork, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
