Baseball Recap: Peabody Comes Up Short

Peabody managed to slip by Crockett County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Peabody Golden Tide came up short against the Crockett County Cavaliers on Tuesday, falling 15-3. It was the first time this season that the Golden Tide let down their fans at home.

Peabody saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Banks McDaniel, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Peabody's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Crockett County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peabody will host Dyersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crockett County, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Jackson South Side at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jackson South Side's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Crockett County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
