Softball Recap: Kamiakin Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Kamiakin never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Pasco Bulldogs 20-0. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Lizzie O'Leary made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Harley Worster was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March. Analise Thomasson was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Kamiakin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .852. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Kamiakin is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Pasco, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Kamiakin will face off against Hermiston at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 11.3 runs per game this season. As for Pasco, they will take on Sunnyside at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
