In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 27-26 win over Huguenot. The win was all the more spectacular given Cosby's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Huguenot is ranked 89th).
Cosby was led to victory by Landon Snyder and Robert Boyd iv. Snyder rushed for 20 yards and a touchdown, while Boyd iv rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Boyd iv is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
When it comes to explaining why Huguenot lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jason Wright. Despite the final result, he threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns. Another big playmaker for Huguenot was Pierre Edmonds, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Cosby's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Huguenot, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
