Even though the Deltona Wolves scored an imposing 56 points on Wednesday, the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas still came out on top. New Smyrna Beach walked away with a 63-56 victory over Deltona. The victory made it back-to-back wins for New Smyrna Beach.
Lukas Parschauer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 15 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Mclaughlin, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
New Smyrna Beach has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which somehow isn't as good as their 13-4 record this season. As for Deltona, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.
New Smyrna Beach won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Crescent City at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Crescent City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 664th, while New Smyrna Beach is ranked 207th). As for Deltona, they will face off against Spruce Creek at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
