Given East Lawrence's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Lawrence County is ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lawrence County's loss came despite strong showings from Kylie Graham and Alivia Terry. Graham scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals, while Terry scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds. Graham has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
East Lawrence's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Lawrence County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
