Softball Recap: Milan Wins Going Away Against Madison

While Milan put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Madison. The Milan Bulldogs blew past the Madison Mustangs 16-0. The Bulldogs have beaten the Mustangs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.

Milan got a big performance out of Hailey Williamson, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Brylee Burrow, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Milan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .850. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

Milan's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Madison, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milan will take on Haywood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison, they will face off against Peabody at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
